Folliculitis - Symptom, Causes, Treatment of Folliculitis
Folliculitis is the inflammation of one or more hair follicles, usually caused by a staphylococcal infection. Folliculitis can occur anywhere on the bady, but is most often found on the bearded area of a man's face (barber's rash ), the buttocks or thighs, or in the armpits. Infected fallicles become red, swollen and tender, and soon develop into pustules that break onto the skin, spreading the infection further.
